I am Abbey, a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

I am on the job market for the academic year 2017-2018 and scheduled to graduate by May 2018. My primary research interests are Microeconomic Theory, Law and Economics, Behavioral Economics, and Industrial Organization.

My research focuses on economic models of crime, misconduct, and deterrence. More specifically, I construct models of incentives to commit crimes and other prohibited activities. Furthermore, my research illuminates how policy makers, firms, or other entities may optimally deter crime and other destructive activities.
